Saint Carlo Acutis: 4 Powerful Lessons for Ambitious Catholic Women

Hello my love!

Saint Carlo Acutis—now officially a saint in heaven—shines as a light for our times. In a world that often feels overwhelming, Carlo’s life reminds us that holiness isn’t just reserved for the old, the “perfect,” or the extraordinary. Holiness is for every single one of us, right here, right now.

His journey has profoundly impacted my own walk of faith, and I want to share 4 lessons from Saint Carlo Acutis that ambitious Catholic women can apply in their daily lives.

1️⃣ The Eucharist Is Our Highway to Heaven

Carlo loved the Eucharist deeply. He saw it as a way to encounter Jesus and fuel his mission in the world. For us, making time for daily Mass or Eucharistic adoration isn’t just a spiritual duty, it’s a direct connection to God’s presence and guidance. I try to take time out of my busy life coaching, motherhood, homeschooling life and sit with Jesus during adoration.

Reflection: How can you make the Eucharist a consistent source of strength in your day?

2️⃣ It’s Not About Me, It’s About God

Carlo’s life was centered on God, not himself. He reminds us that surrendering our plans, pride, and pressure allows God to lead. As ambitious Catholic women, we often feel we have to do it all. Carlo teaches us to step back and let God’s plan unfold.

Reflection: What might change if you released control and let God take the lead in your life?

3️⃣ Embrace Your Originality

Carlo once said: "All people are born as originals but many die as photocopies." — Saint Carlo Acutis

Each of us has unique gifts, talents, and a calling. God doesn’t want us to conform. He wants us to shine in the way only we can.

Reflection: What is one area in your life where you can embrace your God-given originality today?

4️⃣ Love Where God Places You

Carlo’s love for Assisi wasn’t just about a city, it was about seeing God’s beauty everywhere. Whether it’s your family, career, or community, loving where you are and pouring your heart into it is a powerful act of holiness.

Reflection: How can you love your current season of life fully, with God as your guide?

Saint Carlo Acutis lived only 15 years, but his faith radiated wildly. He gave God his whole self. No striving. No holding back. Just love.

“To always be close to Jesus, that’s my life plan.” — Saint Carlo Acutis

I share more about how Carlo’s life has inspired my own journey in this throwback podcast episode.

A Simple Prayer Inspired by Carlo

You can carry this prayer into your day:

Jesus, show me the beauty of simplicity. Teach me how to be small and full of light, like Carlo. I give You my plans, my pressure, my pride. Lead me back to the peace that only comes from You. Amen.
